About VideoPlayer

VideoPlayer started with a small, very Indian annoyance: a dual-audio movie where the Hindi track played with no sound, the subtitles were three seconds late and the background music was louder than the actors. Every popular player handled one of those problems. None handled all three.

What we believe

• Your videos are yours. Nothing you watch is uploaded. The AI runs on the phone.
• No ads, no account. A video player should open your video, not a sign-up form.
• Small details matter. Remembering your language for a whole series, warning you when the battery won’t last the film, skipping an intro you’ve seen ten times.

Made in India

VideoPlayer is designed and built in India, and it shows in the details: dubbed films, E-AC3 sound, Hindi subtitles, WhatsApp status videos and phones that are always low on storage.

What’s inside

The app is built on Google’s Media3 ExoPlayer with FFmpeg for the formats your phone can’t decode, and whisper.cpp for AI subtitles. Read the tips and guides to see every feature in action, or try the web player in your browser.
