Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026 · Applies to videoplayer.in and the VideoPlayer Android app (in.videoplayer.app)

VideoPlayer is a media player. It is built so that your videos stay on your device. We do not run accounts, ads or analytics, and we do not sell or share personal data.

Your videos and files

Videos, audio and subtitle files you open are played directly on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. When you share a video to the app from another app, it is handed to the player on your device only.

Data stored on your device

To make the player convenient, some information is saved in your browser/app storage on your own device only: your settings (for example playback speed, subtitle style, gestures), your watch progress so you can resume, small thumbnail images of your videos, the list of folders you chose to remember, and recently played stream links. You can delete all of it at any time from Settings → Data in the app, or by clearing the app's storage.

Network streams

If you enter a stream or video link, the player connects directly to that address to play it. That server will see your IP address like any website you visit; its own privacy policy applies. For HLS and DASH streams, the free open-source players hls.js and dash.js are loaded from the jsDelivr CDN.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Hostinger. Like every web server, it keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify you.

Permissions

The Android app only uses internet access to load the player. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or phone storage; files are only opened when you pick or share them yourself.

Children

VideoPlayer does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
